Share the common causes and solutions of pad lift
There are many reasons for pad lift. Because the position of the pad is below the component, the repair technician has a blind spot for sight. During the operation, because the solder joint cannot be seen, they may try to move the component and cause the pad to lift. Or it happens because the heating temperature is too high, overheating, etc.
Solution:
Step 1: Clean up the area to be repaired and keep it clean.
Step 2: Remove the failed part, and remove the failed pad and a small piece of connection.
Step 3: Use a knife to scrape off the residues, stains, burn materials, etc. of the SMT patch processing.
Step 4: Scrape off the solder mask and coating on the patch processing connection line, and clean up the area.
Step 5: Add a small amount of flux to the board and tin it. Clean and wire the new BGA pads into the original vias. Remove the solder mask from the original via hole. Keep the new pad area smooth and, if necessary, grind into the board surface slightly.
Step 6: Cut and trim the new pads.
Step 7: Select the appropriate bonding tip of the new pad shape, position the PCB to ensure stability, and remove the positioning tape after the SMT processing and positioning.
Step 8: Dip a small amount of liquid flux to solder the connection lines of the new pads to the PCB surface lines. In order to prevent reflow, tape can be placed.
Step 9: Apply the mixed resin to the connection of the cable.
